UPCOMING EXHIBITION IN HELEN SCHULER NATURE CENTRE
Members, start painting!! Our exhibition in Helen Schuler Nature Centre is scheduled to run from August 3 to September 26, 2021. The theme of the exhibition is “The Four Seasons in the River Valley“. Painters may choose to paint/draw any aspect of the river valley during one of the seasons. Deadline for entries: midnight, Friday, August 30.
Due to limited space, we are limiting entries to one painting per member, and ask that your canvases/framed works be a minimum of 10″ x 16″ and a maximum of 24″ x 36″. Work must be wired to standards set out in club guidelines.
MEMBERSHIP MINGLE – On Saturday, September 25, from 1 PM – 2 PM come and join us at a Membership Mingle. Location of picnic shelter to be announced. More details will be sent out in late August. We look forward to seeing all our members again!
Also planned are a series of outdoor painting opportunities in the summer and fall. Those destinations will be announced throughout the summer. Members will receive emails from Ivan. Locations will be a blend of city/ county sites and foothills/mountain sites.
Nikka Yuko Gardens – LAC members meet here on Thursday mornings from 10 AM to noon. Join us for a couple of hours in the peaceful, cool garden to capture the balance and beauty of the gardens.
Visit their website for info on passes. We recommend plein air painters purchase season passes if they plan to paint there throughout the summer…it is much more economical. Your pass is good for the entire year, and will give you entry to the Christmas Lights festival. Visit https://www.nikkayuko.com/
