Carla is a self-taught visual artist living in Lethbridge, Alberta. While exploring new mediums offers fresh expression in her art, she primarily works in watercolor, ink and acrylics. Intrigued by the organic forms and wonders of nature, Carla’s focus is largely on colorful botanical inspirations. She also enjoys quick portrait studies and sketching. Carla has recently been invited as a new 2D artist at the AAC Works in downtown Lethbridge and was also showcased in The Art of the Unknown online gallery, hosted by The Old Strathcona Performing Arts Centre. She is currently instructing guided creative workshops, which she finds deeply meaningful. Carla works with passion and loves sharing her excitement for art and creating with others. As a member of the Allied Arts Council and Lethbridge Artist Club she hopes to connect, nurture, contribute and grow with the vibrant Southern Alberta Art community.
