Artists bio Eileen Schuler I grew up on a farm in southwestern Saskatchewan. I started my education in a one room country school called Surprise and finished at UofA, earning a BScHEc.
For many years my artistic expression was through clay. I still enjoy being a potter and a member of the Oldman River Potters Guild.
In 2014 while wintering in Arizona I took my first watercolour lessons from a painter in our resort. I participated in the annual Palm Creek Resort Art Show and Sale from 2017 to 2023. In Lethbridge I paint with the First B Artists and take part in their annual Creative Arts Sunday.
I joined the Lethbridge Artists Club in 2017 and have displayed paintings at various venues during Art Walk as well as at the Helen Schuler Nature Centre, Yates Theatre, CASA, and the Coaldale Library.
I was pleased to have two paintings chosen to be part of a juried Alberta Society Of Artists show “Best of Southwestern Alberta”. I’ve also had paintings accepted into the Allied Arts popUP Gallery in conjunction with Art Days.
I have recently started working with pastels and really enjoy that medium on its own and in combination with watercolours. So much fun!
