Elaine was born on the East Coast in Sherbrooke, Nova Scotia and grew up on the West Coast on Vancouver Island British Columbia. She has spent the last 25 years in the far north in Dawson City, Yukon Territory and has recently relocated to Lethbridge, Alberta.
Elaine’s experience with the peacefulness and uniqueness of the uninhabited wilderness has resulted in her passion for sharing her personal experiences through painting. Elaine uses watercolor medium because of its free-flowing and unpredictable nature. It allows for the ability to go from the finest most delicate elements in a faded distance, to naturally blending color effects through soft washes. By combining the nature of watercolor with intense bright colors, Elaine seeks to share her emotional connection to the wilderness.
