I was born and grew up on a farm in Saskatchewan. I started drawing as a child, dabbled in watercolour and took oil painting classes.
I have taken correspondence courses as well as numerous classes and workshops in oils, watercolours, pastels, acrylics, mixed media and oriental brush at the Bowman Arts Centre, Lethbridge College, University of Lethbridge, and Casa. The instructors were local, and from other parts of Alberta, the United States and China.
I belong to the Lethbridge Artist Club. My favourite medium is pastels.
